What the Dickens

The year 2020 marked the 150^th anniversary of the death of Charles Dickens. The Dickens’ Fellowship and the Journalists’ Charity (which the great man helped found) chose a number of writers to create a new Dickens character for the 21^st century to mark the occasion. They wondered what sort of figures he might have conjured up if he were writing in these Covid19 blighted times.

Here was my suggestion: the character sketch Conviviality Toper, as read by the suitably Dickensian looking figure of Journalists’ Charity trustee Charles Garside.
